Here is a list of artists that will appear at AUSA this year! Check them out! Dave Lister - Studio Nasu
Come visit the Studio Nasu table to see Dave and some his latest projects, including Conception Complex, a rockin’ new Japanese band whose US CD release is produced by Studio Nasu. Also Protostar and Sweet Adventure, two new video games you can play right at the table. Of course, you’ll want to bring your DS with you this year to play Starbuster, a 3D shooter from Dragon’s Den Unlimited (and for all the shiny pokemon Dave likes to give away, though he doesn’t make pokemon, he only catches them). In addition to all this, Dave has lots of art, cool original video game swag, music, and other power-ups. Dave likes rice. Dragon's Den Unlimited
As a studio Dragon’s Den loves to revamp classic mechanics with fun new twists. Match 3? How about Match 3D. SHMUP? They’ll do Left 4 Dead StarFox. Need a giant sword? They’ll swing mountains. Alison's designs have been featured at many anime conventions (Otakon, Katsucon, AMA, Nekocon). She's put out two comics, and has been drawing commissions for over 10 years. Miguel is a fierce coder bubbling over with positive energy, and even does some coloring (but is most useful in fetching the coffee). Together they are an unstoppable killing machine, especially if you happen to be blank and rectangular. Check 'em out in the Artist's Alley where they'd love to talk games or draw anything you'd like! You can find them online at: http://www.DrgnDen.com Kevin Bolk
He's also responsible for the quirky auto-bio comic "I'm My Own Mascot" as well as the fantasy webcomics send-up The Last Mystical Legend of the Fantastic Fantasy Trigger Star, just to name a few. All of these delightful diversions can be conveniently located at the Interrobang Studios website. (BOOKMARK OR PERISH!!) You can also check out K-Bo's art on this year's AnimeUSA t-shirt. When he's not drawing, he can be found fighting badly-dressed monsters while wearing a skirt far too short for a guy his age. In the name of the w00t, he will punish you! Onezumi
Onezumi's Lovecraftian horror comic is located at http://www.Onezumi.com. It is updated two times a week. Her art and art tutorials are at http://www.Onezumiverse.com. Her creator-focused art and technology convention is located at http://www.InterventionCon.com. Oni worked professionally for places like The Disney Channel before going independent. Her empire of original art, comics, and educational events is regarded as one of the most successful webcomic-based businesses in existence. She has been a guest speaker at XM Satellite Radio and most other conventions in the northeast. Corporate sponsors for Oni's work are too numerous to name. Shadowbinders (webcomic)
Tamuran
Chezhnian has been world-building the setting in which Tamuran takes place for over 13 years. The world of Tamuran itself has been under the pen for six years and counting, three of which have been spent in good company co-writing the comic script and contributing to design work. Writing music is also one of Chezhnian's passions, and she is currently working on an original score soundtrack inspired by and for the comic. Eren has been drawing webcomics since 2005, when he started working on a comic called Shades of Veil as an homage to his college roommates' Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Now he is focusing his comicking mainly on co-writing and illustrating Tamuran. Eren recently spent a year and a half teaching English in elementary and junior high schools in Japan, where his drawing skills and love of manga ended up being just as useful as his Japanese language degree. |

Some say that Dave Lister is made of Legos. This is false. Composed mostly of coffee, Dave has learned to work without unnecessary things like sleep (though this may also be speculation, as he is often observed face-down on his laptop). Dave got his roots in the industry by accidentally creating the webcomic, Paradox Lost in early 2000. Though it was intended simply to be a means for Dave to polish his art and writing skills, its success led to the founding of Studio Nasu. Since then, Dave has written, illustrated, and composed music for comics, magazines, retailers, video games, children’s books, websites, radio stations, and one very small, mechanical narwhal (which may have resulted in saving the world from destruction at the hands of zombie guppies.)
Miguel and Alison kick reason to the curb and push forward everyday to grab a bigger piece of the mysterious future that game development offers. They have released a bunch of games on Nintendo DS/DSi, and their next game, “StarCube”, is available now on iOS and Android.
Kevin Bolk is a freelance cartoonist, illustrator, and proud alumnus of Awesome University (his favorite imaginary alma mater). Although he's done work for Nickelodeon, Tokyopop, Udon Entertainment, Blind Ferret Entertainment, and Voices For, he's best known for his parody webcomics It Sucks to be Weegie and Ensign Sue Must Die! as part of Interrobang Studios' Pot Luck Comics.
Fans say that Onezumi is what would happen if Dirty Harry and Weird Al Yankovic had a daughter that loved to draw. It's pronounced "Oh-neh-zoo-me". She lives in New Jersey. She loves Heavy Metal and Disney World.
Created by former Disney comics alumn Thom Pratt (drawing under the pen name of "Kneon Transitt") and his wife Kambrea Pratt, the Shadowbinders webcomic set sail online in 2010 and hasn't slowed down since. Shadowbinders has found an audience in fans of steampunk, anime and young adult literature, in addition to fans of traditional comic books. The comic can be read online for free at
H. A. "Chezhnian" Kennedy (right) and Erin "eren" Fitzgerald (left) are the respective creator/writer and artist/co-writer of Tamuran, a manga-style epic fantasy webcomic. Tamuran is the story of a young royal heir suddenly turned king-in-exile and his quest to save his kingdom from the country of powerful, grudge-bearing sorcerers that has taken it over. The young king must travel far across the wilds of his dying land, accompanied only by a few unlikely and unexpected protectors - who include a wild elf whose entire clan has mysteriously disappeared, a shapeshifting girl from a magical ascended race who knows little of the mortal world, and a huge man-eating forest beast with an academic bent.
